ISLE Theater Company bridges communities through storytelling in Maine.

Founded in 2020 by Anna Fitzgerald and Marvin Merritt IV, ISLE began after its two founders graduated from Harvard University and were galvanized to make safe, accessible theater in a tumultuous time. After their wildly successful first season of GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES at Moss Ledge Cottage and DO NOT MOVE STONES at the Settlement Quarry, their collaboration quickly expanded into Maine’s most energized theater company.

ISLE is dedicated to making professional, community-driven work in unconventional spaces to connect its audience with new places, people, and perspectives.
