ASEL OTUNCHIEVA


Asel Otunchieva was born in Russia, grew up in Kyrgyzstan, and moved to the United States at the age of 15 to pursue a Business degree on a tennis scholarship.

Recent stage credits include: Sophia / Perla in The Woman And The Banana Tree (Columbia University); Ensemble in The Wayward Daughter Of Judah The Prince (Theater for the New City); Nurse in Before It Hits Home (The Billie Holiday Theatre). Recent screen credits include: Suicide Station (Iain Reed Productions); I Wish I Could Give You An Answer (Netflix, Ghetto Film School).

Asel has a BS in Accounting, an MBA in Finance, and has graduated from Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Over the last several years, she’s been living in New York and transitioning from a career in consulting to pursuing acting. She enjoys traveling the world; playing tennis; and trying out restaurants, dessert spots, and coffee shops with her friends.
